Apply to present at UChicago's interdisciplinary campus-wide Undergraduate Research Symposium! All College students and recent alumni involved in undergraduate research and creative scholarship are invited and encouraged to apply to present.
You may apply to participate in a research poster session, oral presentation, or other presentation format. All participants will be required to present during an assigned time block on the day of the Symposium. Individual and group presentations (up to three students) are welcome. Please only submit one application per presentation/group.
Application Components/Requirements:
- Eligibility (You must be a current UChicago student or recent alum to present)
- Presenter(s) and Presentation Information
- Primary Student
- Group Members (up to two)
- Presentation Format Preference
- Presentation Time Preference
- Collegiate Division and Research Area(s)
- Research Mentor Information
- Primary Faculty Research Mentor - You must list at least one Faculty Research mentor to be invited for Faculty Mentor Approval to approve your research abstract and recommend you/your group to present.
- Other Research Mentor(s)
- Research Abstract (one single paragraph, up to 300 words maximum)
- Review CCRF's abstract guidance and sign up for an abstract workshop
- Please work with your faculty and research mentors on your research abstract prior to submission.
- NOTE: Your abstract will be published in the Symposium proceedings. Therefore, you should submit a high-quality version approved by your faculty mentor.
All research abstracts will be reviewed and Undergraduate Research Symposium participation is dependent upon reviewer decision. Reviewer feedback will be provided if applicable and will need be addressed in a revised research abstract for acceptance to participate in the Symposium.

Note: Faculty Research Mentors will have until February 28, 2025, to approve your abstracts.
